Grape - Cinsault
Where - Paarl, South Africa
What - The Bendewijn series is an exclusive wine series from winemaking extraordinaire Albert Ahrens. Whilst the whereabouts of where Albert sources his fruit is shrouded in mystery, he chooses small, handpicked parcels from sustainably operated sites.

After a gentle pressing, the freerun juice is fermented and raised in old smaller format barrels, with minimal extraction. Post ageing, the wine is naturally settled and bottled with minimal sulphite. These bottles are then capped and held onto for further ageing.

This is an exceedingly rare wine with a total production of 487 bottles. For this vintage, Wolf Wine was granted a total allocation of 48 bottles. Each bottle is individually numbered and allocated.

This is the most expressive Cinsault we have ever had. It sings with notes of peppered strawberry, forest fruit, macerated plums supported by earth, herb and pencil shavings. Enjoy now.

Wild, expressive, peppery. Vegan. Organic. Low intervention. 14% ABV.
