Grape - Verdelho
Where - Voor-Paardeberg, South Africa
What - The Bendewijn series is an exclusive wine series from winemaking extraordinaire Albert Ahrens. Whilst the whereabouts of where Albert sources his fruit is shrouded in mystery, he chooses small, handpicked parcels from sustainably operated sites.

After a gentle pressing, the freerun juice is fermented in secondhand, white wine barrels using wild yeasts. The resulting wine is then further aged in wood. At the time of bottling the wines are left to cold settle before bottling with minimal sulphite. These bottles are then capped and held onto for further aging. This is an exceptionally rare wine with a total production of 382 bottles.

For this vintage, Wolf Wine was granted a total allocation of 12 bottles. Each bottle is individually numbered and allocated.

This is everything you could want from an exceedingly sophisticated Verdelho with notes of flower and spice, butter and smoke supported by racy flavours of lime, guava and white peach.

Sophisticated, tropical, rare. Vegan. Organic. Low intervention. 13.5% ABV.
