Grape - Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tannat

Where - Gascony, France

What - This a really great-value red wine that is an essential for your shelf. Chateau Laballe was established in 1820 and began life producing Armagnac. In 1970, Noël Laudet decided to take on the task of winemaking, starting with a selection of dry whites.

Fast-forward to now and this 200-year-old winery is currently being converted to biodynamic, so you'll be seeing much for of these guys at Wolf Wine in the future. Cyril and Julie Laudet have really breathed some life into Chateau Labelle and we can't wait to taste the new vintages.

The Les Terres Basses Rouge is a really tasty wine. The mix of Cabernet Franc and Merlot make it wonderfully balanced with forest fruit flavours and an ever so slight caramel finish. Pairable with pretty much anything you like!

Balanced, easygoing, smooth. Vegan. ABV 13.5%.
