Grape - Barbera
Where - King Valley, Australia
What - Dal Zotto is a third-generation family winery based in the sunny, alpine slopes of King Valley in Australia. The family moved to the area in 1987, inspired by the scenery that was reminiscent of their home in Northern Italy. This small estate is planted with beautiful parcels of Barbera, Sangiovese, Arneis and Garganega. The vines are worked as sustainably as possible and the winery adopts a ‘hands-free’ approach to their winemaking. Thus, the unique terroir of the King Valley shines through in every bottle. This Barbera has been vinified on wild yeasts in stainless steel before 12 months in a mixture of French and American oaks.
The resulting wine is like fruity velvet. Huge notes of raspberry, tobacco and strawberries are supported by delicate layers of white chocolate, mocha and vanilla.
Huge, velvety, ripe. Vegan. Low intervention. 14.5% ABV.
