Grape - Syrah, Gamay
Where - Rhône Valley, France
What - This is your classic, easy-drinking red wine. The unusual mix of Syrah and Gamay make for a really balanced wine that gives all the fruit and spice of Syrah mixed with the juicy, juicy Gamay.
The Gamay grapes are sourced from granite soils, whilst the Syrah is harvested from 25-year-old vines planted on alluvial soils. The grapes are picked during September equinox in line with organic practicing processes.
You'll want to share this wine with friends - it's so much fun. Bright, light and thirst-quenching. Tangy redcurrants, smooth blackcurrant and five spice on the finish. Pop it in the fridge for 15-minutes to get it to optimum drinking temperature, then get pouring.
Any sort of cheese, dairy, cashew or otherwise, would pair beautifully with this wine. Christmas cheese board? Yes, yes, yes.
Currants, berries, light spice. Vegan. Organic practicing. ABV 12.5%.
