Grape - Moscatel

Where - Bio Bio Valley, Chile

What - It's time to get excited because this skin-contact piece of Chilean badassery has dropped and we're here for every second of it. Mauricio Gonzalez Carreño is one-quarter of the group formed by Macarena Lladser who are all passionate for natural winemaking and organic farming. They work in the wine regions of the Secano Interior and are committed to championing local heritage and restoring their lands.

There's a lot of fun intricacies to this wine, but the most impressive is the fermentation which takes place within 120-year-old ceramic amphoras. It's wildly textured thanks to the light skin-contact, indigenous yeasts and time spent on its lees. The funky juice has been bottled unfined, unfiltered and without the addition of any SO2.

It's beautifully hazy in the glass with an orange, straw-like appearance. You'll first notice just how aromatic this wine is, especially with notes of peach, white flowers and citrus. On the palate, the minerality really comes through. Think chalk, limestone and granite, all whilst humming with fruit, fruit, fruit for days.

Fun, fruit-forward, stone fruit. Vegan. Low intervention. Organic. ABV 11%.
