Grape - Semillon
Where - Karridale, West Australia
What - The Karri Vineyard winery aims to showcase classic, unoaked Semillon from the Margaret River area of Western Australia. Karri is the aboriginal name for the Eucalyptus Diversicolor which only grow in this part of the country.
Only the highest quality fruit is harvested for this biodynamic white wine. Everything is done naturally, sustainably and with biodynamic processes from start to finish. With as much care and attention as this wine sees, it's a surprise that the price remains at such a good value. McHenry Hohnen works the vineyards with viticulturist Mike Sleegers; both names renowned in the area for treating their land with care and respect. Their techniques include a hands-off approach, providing a balanced environment to attract beneficial insects and other indigenous fauna.
The Karri Valley Semillon is hazy in the glass which is everything we love. The flavours are wide-ranging from grapefruit to peach, green pepper to lime and a touch of fresh nectarine. It's zingy, dry and has a moreish pink salt finish.
Dry, fruity, zingy. Vegan. Organic. Low intervention. Biodynamic. ABV 12%.
