Grapes - Cot (Malbec)
Where - Puy du Loire, France
What - The La Pepie a really great start if you want an introduction into the world of natural red wines; it's a lot of fun. This gluggable little number is the work of Earl La Pepiere. Small parcels of organically cultivated Cot - otherwise known as Malbec - are harvested by hand. At the winery, the grapes are destemmed and fermented in small clusters using wild yeasts in stainless steel. After a gentle press, the resulting wine is aged in stainless steel for a further 5 months before bottling with no fining or filtration.

The La Pepie is a proper crowd-pleasing summer red wine bursting with notes of raspberry, red cherries, brambles, blueberry and black pepper.

Fruit, light, sunshine. Vegan. Organic. Low intervention. 12% ABV.
