Grape - Chardonnay
Where - Dorset, England
What - The Blanc de Blanc reserve is a 'champagne method' sparkling from a low intervention wine producer located in the heart of Dorset. When it comes to English sparkling wine, these guys have produced something really fantastic with the Langham Blanc de Blanc.
The grapes are grown on chalk soils over three sites before the base juice is vinified and aged in French barrels. Once bottled, the wine is left to age on its lees for 3 years before closure and release.
The Langham has a big, rich style with notes of lemon, pear, buttery pastry and cream. It will age well over the next 5 - 10 years and pairs beautifully with shellfish or light appetizers.
Buttery, rich, citrus. 11.5% ABV. Vegan. Low intervention.
