What - Corbeau Wines are an exceptionally forward-thinking winery located in San Martin in the heart of Mendoza. The winery currently belongs to the Rodriguez family who, between them, have over eighty years of experience in the wine industry.
 
For the Mad Bird Dark, Malbec and small parcels of high-quality Ancellotta are harvested at low and medium altitudes for optimal sugar/acid balance. The grapes are vinified separately in stainless steel before being married and aged in new American oaks for 3 months.
 
This is a dark, velvety wine rich with notes of black cherry, baked cherry, mocha, vanilla and dried blueberry. It's a huge winter option for fireside drinking. When anyone comes knocking for a punchy Malbec, we whip out a bottle of the Mad Bird Dark and it always served to impress.
