What - California is infamous for producing huge quantitiesof top end Cabernet, Syrah and Chardonnay. Rarely do Italian varieties get a look in, but the Tendu Red seeks to twist things up. Steve Matthiasson selects small parcels of sustainably grown Italian varieties. Each grape is vinifed in stainless steel with no added sulphite before blending and aging in old neutral oak. Each wine is bottled in lightweight, American made bottles and capped with eco-friendly, biodegradable corks.
The Tendu is a super bright red perfect for a summer BBQ. Enjoy racy notes of sour cherry, raspberry sherbert, violet, tealeaf, cedar and almonds.
