Grape - Pinot Noir
Where - Rhinehessen, Germany
What - Weingut Thorle is a biodynamic winery run by brothers Christoph and Johannes. High-quality pinot noir grapes are sourced from a couple of biodynamic sites in Germany’s Rhineland. After hand harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and cold-pressed. The juice is then vinified using wild yeasts in stainless steel vessels. After fermentation, the wines are transferred into large 4th fill oak vessels for 6 months of ageing. The wine is then further aged in bottle before release.

This is an exceptionally light style of pinot. On the palate are notes of strawberries, redcurrant, cranberry, graphite and woodspice.

Light, crunchy, complex. Vegan. Biodynamic. Low intervention. 12.5% ABV.
