Grapes - Pinot Gris/Riesling/Gewurztraminer
Where - Adelaide Hills, South Australia
What - We love these guys. Vinteloper are a small Adelaide-based team headed by winemaking extraordinaire David Bowley. Over the years, Vinteloper have built a reputation for releasing experimental wine styles crafted with love, finesse and respect for the environment. The Urban Wine Project see that grapes are driven into town where members of the public can join in crushing the grapes by hand (and feet) before the juice is returned to the winery for vinification.

The #5 white wine is an amazing blend of Pinot Gris, Riesling and Gewurtz that are vinified with wild yeasts and a little bit of skin contact. Oak influence is kept to a minimum so the individual grapes can sing and the wine is bottled unfiltered.

This is beautifully balanced with notes of lime, tangerines, rose, white peaches and tropical juice offset by good acidity. You will never want the bottle to end.

Rare, balanced, beautiful. Vegan. Organic. Low intervention. 12.2% ABV.
