Grape - Pinot Noir
Where - Paso Robles, California, USA
What - Field Recordings is a small wine cellar based in the rocky hills of California’s central coast. Rather than following the norm of planting vines slightly in land, Field Recording are experimenting with growing vines right on the Pacific coastline, allowing for a much greater exposure to the often tumultuous sea elements. The result is a much smaller yield, but the concentration of juice in these grapes is some of the best California has to offer. Allowing the fruit to sing for itself, the grapes are vinified on wild yeasts and aged in large format, old oak. The wine is then bottled slightly hazy with minimal sulphite.
This is a truly beautiful Pinot with soft notes of strawberry laces, crushed red fruit, blueberry and cucumber. It's the perfect red wine for a chilled summer evening.
Delicate, subtle, summery. Vegan. Organic. Low intervention. 12.9% ABV.
