Grape - Syrah
Where - Paso Robles, California, USA
What - Field Recording are a small wine cellar based in the rocky hills of California’s central coast. They're bringing an experimental vibe to the world of wine in California by growing vines right on the Pacific coastline as opposed to slightly in land. This means the vines get a gentle bashing from the sea breeze and the result is a smaller yield, but a much higher concentration of juice in the grapes. This is some of the best syrah that California has to offer. With a focus on allowing the fruit to sing for itself, the grapes are vinified on wild yeasts and aged in large format, old oak. The wine is then bottled slightly hazy with minimal sulphite.
This syrah is beaming with notes of plums, cherry, espresso, thyme, pink pepper and olive. It's the kind of fun, exciting red wine that you can enjoy with any meal.
Vibrant, spicy and food loving. Vegan. Organic. Low intervention. 13.7% ABV.
