Grape - Chardonnay
Where - Victoria, Australia
What - Named after 'The Rainbow Serpent, the Akurra Chardonnay gives a nod of respect to the Aboriginal people of South Australia. The great snake deity is believed to bring water, nourishment and sustenance to crops, keeping them alive and healthy. It's a great Chardonnay that can be enjoyed by every white wine lover.
The grapes for this Aussie white were harvested during the cool night which creates a real freshness. The fermentation was equally as cool in stainless steel tanks. It hasn't had even the slightest second in oak, making it a refreshing, easygoing white wine that ditches butter and brioche for pineapple and orange pith. It's a fruit-forward wine with notes of lychee, guava and pink grapefuit.
Fruity, juicy, unoaked. Vegan. ABV 13%.
