Grape - Cinsault, Syrah
Where - Languedoc, France
What - Alright pals, we've done it; we've found the ultimate summer sipping rosé. Christophe Muret is a name you'll hear us mentioning every five seconds for the rest of our damn lives. Once a very successful melon farmer, he changed trades to focus on his winemaking ambitions and has absolutely smashed the game.
Christophe works with a light-handed approach, always keeping his processes focused on protecting his land in Languedoc. His wines undergo a light filtration, but that's about it. It's a hugely impressive selection of wine that he creates with a real breadth of style, proving that it was a worthwhile decision to make the switch from melons to grapes.
The Midi Rosé is a pale, crisp and juicy wine. The pink hue is barely there making it appear elegant and sophisticated. It's a peachy wine, full of stone fruit flavour and ripe raspberry. A softness prevails despite a good acidity, with gentle tannins and lots of juicy, fresh fruit.
Pale, crisp, juicy. Vegan. Minimal sulphite. ABV 11.5%.
