Grape - Shiraz
Where - Victoria, Australia
What - The world is a better place with the Jammy Monkey Shiraz in it. This wine has been named after a Langur monkey recently born in an Australian zoo, adding another much-needed number to the dangerously endangered species. Only 3000 remain in the world, hence him being a jammy little fella.
A nighttime harvest adds to the fresh, drinkable appeal of this Aussie red. A similarly cool fermentation occurs before a tiny bit of ageing in oak. The ancient soils of Victoria offer a savoury, mineral complexity to balance against the bold fruit flavours perfectly.
This is a silky smooth yet big red wine with tonnes and tonnes of fruit. Mulberry, stewed plums, redcurrant and spiced cherries are all flavours present in this boozy, great-value bottle.
Bold, fruity, sunny. Vegan. ABV 14%.
