Grape - Carignan, Cinsault, Lledoner Pelut

Where - Faugeres, Languedoc-Roussillon, France

What - Catherine Roque owns some of the highest altitude vineyards in the Faugeres region of France, which is already an area highly regarded for its produce. Catherine, at Mas d’Alezon, takes this one step further, producing an extensive variety of organic, low intervention and biodynamic wines, with her Le Presbytere taking the cake as the one that excites us the most!

This natural wine uses three different varieties of grape, which adds to the complexity of the slightly funky but totally delicious red. Aged in oak, which adds some nice spice and earthy flavours on the back of the tongue, this hasn’t been taken too far and is at its heart simply a fruit explosion.

Not too sweet, and absolutely able to be matched with food that holds strong flavours, think herby hearty dishes, this isn’t one that you want to miss out on!

Complex, Fruit-Forward, Easy. Natural, Organic, Low Intervention, Biodynamic, Vegan. ABV 12.5%.
