What - The Vigili bros started of their ilustrious careers running bars in the heart of Barcelona. Over the years they became frustrated at the lack of Catalan wines and thought that maybe there would be a project in celebrating catalan wines for what they are.
 
After teaming up with the guys as Casa Balguer the brothers set about sourcing small parcels of organic Xarel-lo; the most widely planted Catalan white variety. After harvest and pressing the wine is fermented in steel before a brief aging in oak. Note the bottle littered with Catalan swearwords! 
 
This wine is pure sunshine in a glass. To us it is like biting into a ripe nectarine topped with lemon peel and churned butter. This is a great wine to have alongside spicier med dishes.
