Where - Rioja, Spain

Grapes - Tempranillo

What - Named after the bankers who refuse bank loans for winemakers, the Gran Cerdo Tinto is a brilliant entry into the world of natural wine. It continually sits at a great-value price, weighing it at one of the most approachable low intervention wines on the ever-growing market. Gonzalo Grijalba is a brilliant winemaker who has trained all over the world in the craft.  He's unashamed in what he does with an ethos dedicated to protecting his environment, from flora to fauna.

Organic Tempranillo grapes are harvested over several sites and fermented with wild yeasts. The wine is then further aged in stainless steel before bottling cloudy with minimal sulphite addition. Despite the natural, hands-off processes, the Gran Cerdo Tinto doesn't come with any of the funk you might expect. If you need a wine to convince a friend over to the natural wine world; this is it!

It has bright flavours of red cherries, raspberries, kirsch and almond. This is a smooth red wine that holds all the juicy aspects of the Tempranillo. Expect a touch of purple flowers on the finish and an all-round wild ride of spice.

Bright, approachable, fruity. Organic, Low intervention, Vegan 13.5%ABV
