What - Gentle Folk is an utterly awesome boutique winery run by husband and wife team Gareth and Rainbo Belton. Together these guys are working a number of very small vineyards entirely by hand and with as little chemical intervention as possible.
 
The village shiraz takes it name after the burgundian attitude of making wines of the village with grapes sources from multiple vineyards in the area. Therefore this wine is made from grapes sources over mulitple sites. After a natural fermentation in open fermenters, the wine is settled and aged in french oak for 8 months before bottling.
 
A true homage to the wonders of the shiraz grape: With a bit of time to open up this wine is intense with perfumed notes of pepper, mint, cassis and blackcurrant.
 
Perfumed, aromatic, silky. Organic. Low intervention. Vegan 13% ABV
