Grape - Pinot Gris (Skin Contact)
Where - Alsace, France 
What - Ummmm, this might seem extreme but this is without doubt the greatest expression of Pinot Gris we have had the pleasure of experiencing. Hands down.
 
This decedent delight comes to us from Domaine Camille Braun in the Orschwihr area of Alsace. It's a strange-looking place (we might've taken a Google Maps tour) but the wine that comes out of there is next, next, next level. 
 
Braun's son, Christophe, took over the winery in the 80s and has converted the vineyards to biodynamic which has meant an even lighter-footed approach ensues nowadays. Everything is sustainable and directed towards producing truly epic wines that tell the story this terroir has to tell.
 
Nebuleuse is handcrafted from 100% Pinot Gris which sees a whooping 14 days of skin contact, before undergoing a six month period in old barriques. We should specify - this is not orange wine. This is not rose. With a soft pigments of blue and red we are thinking of this as violet wine
 
How can we begin to summerize the experience of drinking this with flavours? But if you must know we liken the experience to eating an exploding watermelon in mediterrean pine forest, overlooking  the sea.
