What - Vinteloper are determined, passionate winemakers who cherish the opportunity they've been given to produce some of the most innovative wine coming out of Australia. If you think you had a bad year, Vinteloper had it worse, with their vineyards being almost completely destroyed by the December 2019 bushfires. This was devastating news, but they've gotten back up and have dedicated themselves to reestablishing their once epic vineyards over the next few years. 
 
They're more than used to being the best at what they do, with several first-place awards from the prestigious Pinot Palooza People's Choice. The picked grapes were destemmed, crushed and fermented on indigenous yeasts with a few weeks of skin-contact. This is a 100% malolactic fermentation that has been aged in French Oak.
 
We've managed to nab some of their 2019 Shiraz which is a ridiculously impressive and somewhat 'against the grain' example of Australia's favourite grape. It's so, so smooth. It slips down the throat with total ease. A complex palette buster of dark cherry, bramble, eucalyptus, toasted coffee, licquorice and campot pepper.
