Actually it turns out that is the last thing to thing about because this wine is a stunner; Spains answer to Condrieu. Finca Tobella are a small family bodegas in the slatey hills of central Priorat. The work their old bushy vines by hand. Post harvest these low yield planting are crushed and 40% is fermented in new french barrels before blending and aging in steel and old wooden vessels. Perfection.
 
The result is astounding. A full throttled, textural white composed of notes of grapefruit, young peach, buttered pastry, flowers and apricot yoghurt. Whilst this is drinking beautifully now you could hide it away for a few years to develop further.
