What - Xige Estates is a reletively new venture for Zhang Zanzhi. After years of training in bordeaux under Denis Doubordieu - the father of winemaking at Chateau Petrus, Zhang is the only chinese member of l'Academie du Vin de Bordeaux. Today he wants to bring his craft home.
 
Xige Estate covers 1000 hectares in the Jade hills of Halen mountains. The fruit, where possible is tended by hand and the wines are make under the eyes of a close knit international team of stellar winemakers. This is a Cab produced from handpicked fruit, destemmed and fermented in stainless steel before aging in new limosin barrels for 6 months before bottling. This is classic gutsy Cab - bursting with notes of plum, cherry, mint, mocha and vanilla
